SPACIOUS legacy continues in SPACEDIVE Erasmus+ project

The SPACEDIVE – Space Data for Intercultural Dialogue and Diversity project has launched, bringing together partners from Algeria, Egypt, Greece, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Portugal, Syria, Tunisia, and Turkey in a unique Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange for the Southern Mediterranean Area. Building on the Horizon Europe SPACIOUS project, SPACEDIVE turns real astronomical data from missions like Gaia and Euclid into hands-on STEAM learning experiences that combine science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

Students and youth associations from across Europe and the South Mediterranean will participate in virtual exchange journeys, exploring space data, creating visualisations and digital narratives, and collaborating across cultures. Activities are designed to be accessible for all participants, with offline tools, downloadable datasets, and local facilitators ensuring an inclusive experience.

By transforming SPACIOUS tools and expertise into international learning journeys, SPACEDIVE demonstrates how European scientific innovation can foster digital literacy, intercultural dialogue, and collaborative skills, while engaging youth in meaningful scientific exploration across borders.
