The SPACIOUS project has reached another major milestone: our platform is now deployed at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). Deployment of SPACIOUS at BSC is based on Platform as a Service (PaaS) cloud solutions built around OpenStack, a cloud operating system that controls large pools of compute, storage, and networking resources. By combining OpenStack Train Services with a High Availability Infrastructure this solution provides a powerful and scalable environment for data-intensive astrophysical research.
